Not many people go with shoving evo4 engines into RWD cause the evo3 is so much easier to do. All the mountings are there from the evo3 to bolt in with off the shelf parts without having to worry about gearbox's and custom engine mounts. All that pretty much needs doing for the evo3 is cut and shut the throttle body around and a custom exhaust manifold and dump pipe.

Hey silmayurbo, :)

I am pretty sure your going to have problems with the evo 4 set up beening that the exhaust and inlet are in reverse to the evo1,2,3

I'm asuming if the manifolds are in reverse so is the starter motor and if that is the case it would not bolt up to a standard sigma gear box

I pretty sure thats why everyone uses the evo1,2,3 set up, the bottom ends are similiar set up to the 4g in the starion's

The guy at City Dismantlers said that he'd seen an EVOIV+ engine in a RWD car, but it's the same guy that was telling me there was 4 different ECUs for the TR/TS magna, and they are that different that plugging the wrong one in to the wrong car/loom would fry it.

Lots of info on putting 4G63's into RWD cars on http://www.austarion.com
Agree, Evo 1-3 are a lot easier conversion.
I'm here for a good time, not a long time !
