Hey all,
I have just rebuilt the two barrel solex on my stock standard GD. How idels and runs fine (sorted the auto choke issue that was causing the problem) but the accelerator pump isn't working.
Disassemled it a second time checked the gallery, installed the new bearing out of the kit. Seems to bleed down and loose its prime.
Wondering if the version of the carb on the GD has a second check value in the main body? The acclerator pump does not pick up straight out of the main bowl but has a small chamber off to the side that feeds the pump chamber. Wondering if there should be a second check value at the base of this chamber (looks like its been machined to take one.
Any advice welcomed
