Astron 2000 heater pipe

Post by gippysigma »

Hi

My neighbour has a 1978 Chrysler Sigma SE wagon. It has the Borg Warner auto . It's a rust free low Kms car .

He is looking for the heater pipe, the steel pipe on the drivers side of the engine, it goes from the water pump , around to the back of the engine to a Y join .

Are these pipes available or he may have to make his own replacement .

Thanks Mike

Replace it with a heater hose and join it with brass T pieces where the hearer hoses connect

Last time I had the turbo off I was thinking of replacing that particular pipe because it wasnt all that flash when I put it on the car 15years ago. Only thing with putting a rubber replacement is that the pipe is mighty close to the exhaust manifold (at least on the turbo model) . I had some copper tube and elbows on hand to make a replacement, but got lazy and just left the original in place. :(
