4g64 8v SOHC turbo into lb lancer HELP!

Post by fengqiu »

So I could be protentially purchasing one of these and was wondering how much work i'ld need to do to get it in? it's a narrow block from a fwd sigma i think. Also will it be easy to find parts for it as these engines are so rare now... or will dohc and sohc carby bits swap over?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... 1046364811 is the auction, what other things will I need to purchase?
I posted in the lancer section but it didn't post for some reason anyway if it is a double post, please go ahead and delete it mr admins!

Cheers

If it is a 4G63 ( according to the ad ), it should be a wide block station motor, unless they used different motors in NZ

I'm fairly confident about the engine being narrow block.
Anyone done this swap before with advice?

I was only going on the photo ( I could not see an engine mount on the front of the block )
Either way it should go in without any major hassles
There would be some things to, the alternator could be on the other side of the block and you may need engine mounts from a L200 ?
