i have a gh sigma 4G52 80'. my starter motor has been hanging up and is in preety bad condition. i want to get it replaced, the one i took out has 9 teeth, but all the replacements i can find have 8 teeth.
the previous owner did a lot of bodged work on the car so trying to figure out if the 9 teeth is original.
does it matter if i put in 8 teeth and does anyone else know what the normal amount for a 4G52 is?
how many teeth does a 4G52 starter motor have
Re: how many teeth does a 4G52 starter motor have
Hi. That is a very mixed up subject. I got caught with my Drive Plate/Flex Plate being mostly destroyed as a result - or the cause! They 'kill' one another. It was the time of the change over with the Magna Astron engine and starter. I even tried to take videos of the 'action'. I gave up in the end and put the wagon off the road! If you still want help get back to me here. Cheers.
