New engine simulation game! Use it to test mods!

Post by BAD-SIG »

How useful would it be if you could test and simulate on the computer all mods you intend to do to your car/engine before you do it, or perhaps to try to get the most out of your setup? Now apparently there is a car and engine building and testing simulator game! It's called Automation. I'm already downloading and installing the demo, which let's us play around with a four cylinder non-turbo engine. Perfect for me and my new Astron II 2.6 n/a engine that I'm currently installing in my GE Sigma! I wonder if we can save the engines we create and share with other people... So who's going to be the first to build an Astron or 4G32 engine? Post results here please!

All i can say is Awesome!!
Made a 2.6 N/A SOHC 8V (not to proper Astron specs). 79kw...

Will have to get all the specs and give it another go. I recommend this game to any rev head or car nut, Very Awesome!!

Thanks for the heads up mate

been having a mess around with this Managed to get pretty close to 4G32 specs and power output, after some tweaking (40thou over pistons, forged rods and pistons, webbers, exhuast) ive managed 138.1kw and i think 198nm (H)

Yea my g32 has 120kw with similar work Jon. ( my actual engine) I don't have this game.. How does it work? Download it once, it's yours. Or an online game? Is it completely free? Anybody using win 8 with the game?

Nah, I have W7
The download is for the demo only but seems the only thing you can't do is turbo. Totally free.
There is a EOI section for when the full version is released. It is pretty cool and definitely worth a look.

Sounds like the game uses a different colour palette to paint. Tried a different image program?
