Hydraulic tappets V solid tappets ON TURBO

Post by sigtool »

my newly rebuilt astron 2 in my scorpion will be receiving a turbo in due time
now after lots of searching i have only very vague answers.
Can i run hydraulic lifters on a carby turbo setup?
(not roller rockers!)

i have solid tappets on the car now basically they are noisy and need adjusting often(sorta)
hydraulic well are less noisy and require less adjustment

my car is a complete cruiser comfy quiet and smooth NOT a race car at all.
its an auto and staying that way it will barely ever be-able to rev past 6000 so im not worried about valve float

im putting a turbo on only to keep me happy till my GH turbo is restored(looooooong overdue)

cheers

the short answer is yes but mate them with a hyd cam - the ramps are ground different on a hyd cam to a solid
