question for sites admin....

Post by DanTurboLancer »

Hi Guys, i posted a question about my Original Wherret Turbo motor just before the site was shut down and this one opened up.
By the way good work guys it seems to be much smoother and easier to navagate.

Anyhow my question is what is this sites stance on selling stuff like engines on here?

Im only asking as I dont want to seem rude or offend anyone if im trying to flog stuff off on here and that is not what you guys are about....

Thanks for your time and i look forward to your reply

ah Paddles the 'Original Sigma Turbo Motor' was designed by Peter Wherret.

And Lethal thanks for your feed back too.

Yes I have one of the 500 originals, its been extensively rebuilt.
Ive just sold my 74 LA Lancer 4door shell, and bought a very rare 2 door (only 24 brought into the country for the Southern cross rally)
And it has a heavily built Starion motor with all the fruit,

So I am giving the Sigma Turbo motor a freshen up with some new rings and Bearings and it will be going up for sale!!

As I said I have spent alot of money on this motor, plenty of photos will be available and only genuine buyers need bother as i dont have the time to waist on people that want to second guess its true identity

I have the original bodies code number and the Engine number.
So you can double check.

Any interested parties contact me as i will be sending it away to be rebuilt by a professional in the coming weeks!

by the way i am in Newcastle NSW

the peter wherrett special was a total seperate car to the original sigma turbo. the pws came out all red with a 2.6 and extractor system, recaro interior and montego globes and an updated suspension system, the original sigma turbo was a 2 tone paint job had a turbo motor put together by garrett and mitsubishi. had a different interior with turbo on seats and a turbo dash. the only thing copied from the the pws was parts of the revised suspension system and the montego globes. 500 sigma turbos made and 1500 or 2000 pws made.

im not doubting you have an original sigma turbo motor but it came from and original sigma turbo and not a pws. two seperate cars.

not a worry, alot of people get them confused, i didn't realise until i looked into it and got some books/brochures on the cars.

what is the number on the side of your turbo block?? it should be written on top of the balance shaft part casing below the fuel pump??
