Post by RUN10W »

Can anyone give me some advice on where I can buy replace gaskets for a 1.6l Saturn galant motor. It's currently in a 1974 model.
Cheers guys

Just a tip for searching for 4G32 or Galant stuff in general on Ebay.
First, use Ebay.com, not Ebay.com.au
Secondly, use Dodge Colt in your search or Plymouth Arrow.

I bought about a month back, a NOS oil pump for a 4G32 chain drive for $18 from the US. The postage was $38, but I don't mind, because they aren't available anymore in Australia (well I couldn't find one anyway, and I even went o an engine rebuilder looking).

Just be aware there are TWO different headgaskets for the 4G32 chaindrive .... for 2 different head widths, 115mm and 125mm

Later model cars (Lancers, GD Galant, not sure about GC ?) are generally "wide head", and the headgasket is BD010

The earlier (narrow) heads take head gasket AJ690

Measure to make sure before you order it. Rest of the gasket set is the same.
