Turbo's top vs bottom mount

Hey guys, I'm looking into building a 4g63 rwd track car.
I want to keep it simple and relatively cheap (ie stock engine/ecu).
However few places I have seen different engines/manifolds for sale and some are top mount turbo's and some are bottom.
I know factory is bottom mount, was just wondering if there was any power/performance/better reason to have either one.
Only difference I could think of is airflow in a top mount for rwd.
Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Matt

usually people just go high mount to fit a bigger turbo as there is more room up higher, no real performance differences. Low mounts have been known to run slightly cooler then high mounts. Alot of people just go high mount for the look, which also bring attention from the po-po.

...clearance from the brake master cylinder? I've seen a few bottom mount turbo set ups that look like they would be close enough to roast the master cylinder.
