Is the 4G63 and interference engine?

The DOHC is definitely an interference engine, but I'm not sure about the SOHC.

Cool, there is a cheap HH GSR on gumtree with a broken timing belt, I will give it a miss.

In my Celeste / LB hatch, the SOHC is not interfering anything. Plug and play, just had to take the accelerator pedal for the original (Sapporo/Scorpion) throttle cable and preferably the Scorion engine mounts (engine sits higher with them so the exhaust won't interfere with the pitman-arm.

As you may have read, the intake manifold for the DOHC will interfere with the brakebooster (LH drive) and the rear waterneck is also something to look at (will interfere with the firewall)

Sorry Sven, by interference engine I meant will the valves foul on the pistons if the timing belt/chain breaks.
