So 7000rpm and around 25psi should be ok? Im looking at puttung 2.6 into a gemini with a 650dp demon blow thru carb and a gt3582r turbo.
Would I see fullboost around 4500rpm with a gt3582r with a 0.84 rear with a auto?

Why mess with a Astron when a 2.6 Isuzu from a Rodeo will bolt right into a Gemini??

Because I like carburettors and to make it legal is hard when having to use aftermarket ecu's. I just rather blow thru turbos :D .

I have played with blow thru stuff before and had alot of success. I had a 600dp blow thru on a 12a rotary and it worked realy well. The best thing I ever bought was a wideband o2 gauge. Have many people seen 2.6's with gt35's, spool time? As long as its on boost by 5000rpm I'll be happy :D . Hopefully run over 120mph at the drags.

I run a GT3540 with a 1.02AR TO4 split housing. Spools good.
The key is a well designed manifold.

Kool what rpm would you say your car is on boost by? Any other specs on the car, 1/4mile, gearbox, boost etc.
Thanks

I know a bloke who has a 2.6 rodeo motor in his Gemini.
If you pm me I can give you his number. He said to me today he would have a talk to you and let you know what you have to do to put the Rodeo motor in there.
He is turboing his atm and doing it legally (and without injection), the secret, put it on gas, then emissions aren't a problem.

The Rodeo motor would be a much easier swap as it all bolts straight in. But if you are happy putting a 4G54 in it then go for it

Like many before me the rodeo motor would be the simpler option, not only does it bolt strat in the engineers like it because it uses factory parts. You would save yourself alot of headaches with it, as for the aftermarket computer go the GM delco (again a factory unit) and tune it, engineers will pass it as a non aftermarket and it will run the efi easily (once sorting the sensors) fairly easy conversion, think you will be doing alot more work and hard yards with teh astron in the gemini, but then again I am putting the 3.8v6 in a gemi at present so I cannot talk. (not my car) Yes I have put the 2.6R motor in a gemini before.

Cheers
