I have been running the 'Davies Craig' water pump (EWP80 (12V) ELECTRIC WATER PUMP - PART No: 8005) for over five years now without any problems. For that time its just been running flat out once ignition is on. I have heard problems with these units crapping out and failing, but so far no such problems. I did buy a control unit, from Davies Craig, which was supposed to alter its speed. I found I could not get it working properly and was a waste of time. I will be looking at adjusting the speed of the unit, but will be either using the Autronic engine management computer or circuit from Jaycar to do so.

From my experience with this unit, I give it a verbacious two thumbs up!!

Cheers,
Mick

Use a Facet as they are externally identical the the factory electric fuel pump (Jidosha Kiki) used in the MR, GS and GSR GTO's so is a direct swap into the factory mounting hardware. If you don't have the factory mounting hardware you could use a Carter electric fuel pump.

I don't think you can run a std mits mechanical pump with the Saturn DOHC head?

Carter works fine. Whatever you do, don't feed them too much pressure or you will have tune problems.

Just dont buy any pump from Repco.

I have one as a lift pump i bought years ago then stopped using it because it was rediculously loud(louder then engine), they told me it was becuase i mounted it in engine bay it was so loud...well now its in the boot two feet from the tank an it sounds like a jackhammer.

Carter pumps get my vote! Nice reliable and quiet.

i vote for those plastic "ecco" pumps from new zealand... they come up on ebay all the time... just about all diaphragm pumps are about as good as each other... i only go for the ecco's because they are all plastic components so never corrode... and are alcohol safe :)

My vote is for a low pressure Pierburg in-line fuel pump.

Pumps around 6lb and is ethanol safe. Had a Carter low pressure pump but found it a bit bulky and noisy
