4G32 Chain Drive Block Identification, extra galleries?

Post by 71GA »

Hey Guys,
I have been putting a 4G32 together for my GA, i went to bolt the head down only to find three extra galleries which don't match any of my heads (EGR and pre EGR) or gaskets (115 or 125mm) I got the bottom end off one of the guys on the forum and it apparently came out of an LB Lancer. After Googling gaskets etc it looks like belt drives use the extra galleries but this is a chain drive motor as it came with the timing cover and chain etc still attatched. The galleries don't actually appear to go anywhere (i put some thinners in them and it hasn't drained away)
Any help with this would be great.
