Just a quick one before l go to bed. Were to find the engine number on a satarn.
It will help me with time in the morning to know were to look strait up.And may be the vin number aswell

Engine number is stamped into a horizontal flange at top of the block, just in front of No. 1 exhaust port
VIN will be on the compliance/build plate, and (on a Galant at least) is also stamped into the top of the driver side strut tower

Will save me some time ,eyes are not as good as thay use to be.(need glass's)
And thanks about the info on the light , have moved from under the bonnet to the top of the steering column. It's handy l think to have so that you know that you havent left the ignition on.
I'm pretty shore the Austrailian model never had a light in the dash only the gage
