Random Lancer pix!

Post by Pistol »

Here are some pix I have, wagons etc. Ultimately I'd like to have the LB I have now, the LB coupe (pictured below, not the LB hatch pictured further below), and the LB wagon, just to have the collection.

Enjoy!

Great photos Pete!

I like that hatch!!
I even dont mind those wheels on it..

Did that shape come in the late LB or is it the LC?

Does anyone know of any LA Wagons in Australia?

And any for sale?
or even any LB Wagons...?

The hatch is an LC.
The diff between them is:
LB has
- 1 piece chrome bumpers with black rubber corner strips
- round headlights

LC has
- black metal bumpers with rubber ends (as per photo)
- rectangular headlights.
- larger rear glass in hatch (the hatches are completely different between models)
- came standard with bigger offset rims although the same width (I think)

The orange and yellow LB sedan race car is the old Group C race car that raced at bathurst and in the ATCC in the early 80's.

The picture shown here has been pinched off the coltspeed website. In that picture, it is in sport sedan setup with 13x10's, motec injected 2.6 etc, etc.....

Some pretty cool photo's there otherwise.....

My LC has a pop up sun roof......but the one thing I never liked about the LB/LC hatch is that they dont seem finished. Like the hatch needs a small spoiler because it sort of fades away into nothing. Ill get a photo of my LC from the side and show you what I mean.
Oh and hate the mags.........(personal choice).

I love the shape of LB hatches but think they lost something in the LC face lift. I don't like the black bumpers.... Or the square headlights.

I think they look sexy. But they need to be dropped a bit.

I agree. Needs to be a different colour or something maybe?....

Great Collage there dave!!

Yeah If its the same one, I stoppped one day whille the owner was out the front washing it,
And his mate who originally built it was there, and he had also owned my 4 door and he was the guy that painted my 4 door in the BMW Metallic silver.

They showed me that Mag it was in.
Yeah i think it would have been early 90s..??

It was running a 2.6 Carb turbo
5 Speed
and Commodore (VC i think) diff
The SLR 5000 Flares...
And i cant remember what they looked like, but i do remember him saying 3 peice wheels, and i thought Simmons??

But when i saw it, a couple of years ago, they had taken the Turbo stuff off, and were just running a normal Carb set up...

The Black was just stunning!

They were Neales Wheels, a Sydney based company... They had alloy centres in chromed steel outers. They had a problem with the chrome lifting (with at least one batch), I knew a guy with some on an RT104 Corona, he painted the outers to fix the problem, but they looked crap after.
