Rear Window Frame

Post by 79Scorp »

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a replacement one of these or maybe a second hand one which is not rusted through?

I would need the drivers side however, i just found a pic of one laying around but it is of the passenger side.

Should probably mention its for a '79 GE Scorpion...

Piccie!

Thanks guys

hate to be the one to say it, but good luck finding one. I replaced mine with a pinch rubber channel i can post up pics if you want, does not look anywhere near as good as original but seals better.

Damn!

If you could post up pics that would be awesome, thanks!

I might have to give fabricating one up a go and try to get it as close as possible to the original :-(

Pretty sure I remember Rare Spares having a listing for them? Said they were for Galant hardtop/GE-GH Scorpion?

the rubber seal on the ge-gh model is removable from the metal frame. the metal frame on the window is the bit that rusts out. if you want a replacement you would have to find a secondhand one or a NOS 1/4 window. anyway this is my solution, its tricky to get the frame from the glass without ruining it so better to get measurements before you remove them if you wanna make replacements.
