Rear wind up windows are not interchangable

I read somewhere ages ago that you could replace the rear wind up and down windows from the GE-GH with the GJ-GK ones which are as a rule less rusted than their earlier counterparts. unfortunately this is not the case. The newer window will not mate up to the old regulator and the new regulator does not bolt on to the car. I bought some rubber channel from clark rubber and I hope It will work. if it works I will let you know.
