I found this pic at the pick a part site...could be either cambellfield or Kilsyth, dont know which one. Of course they never seem to actually have scorpions. These ones look like they have def gone to the great car yard in the sky..... :(

if thas pic has been taken in the last 10yrs its not camblefeild (H) as i live near it n had to go to center rd wreckers (on center rd) the other side of town to get scorpo parts :( just past oakleigh in crydon i think, its the only place i could find any!!! but havent been there for a little bit now, the set up there is the exactly the same as this pic and it was get it ur self the same as pick-a-part

if it is pick-a-part i would say its Kilsyth as camblefeild has all there cars in a straight line not diagonal

It is pick-a-part, but i reckon the pic must be really dated, as there are 0 scorpions there, let alone a row of em.

Heres the link to the page where I found it:

Hi Rob and welcome,

I'll dig up some pics of a chasis drag Scorpion from around 25 years ago and post them here ! .... that's what got me started liking these and the Lancers (Plymouth Arrows) :)

Here they are :| It was a 350 chev powered thing running about 8 or 9 secs in the mid/late 80's !

This page doesn't get much love so had to steal and share this pic when I saw it. Can any of you race guys shed any light one what this is about? Looks like historic racing as there are cars from many different years? Anyone know where it is?

My brother's beautiful GE scorpion. He mounted a kerb and clipped a BIG power pole doing 70. The pic doesn't show the roof buckled or the crack across the windscreen in front of the driver's side. The battery landed on the foot path 20 metres away, the chassis rail was partially in the glove box - and not a mark on him. To salvage the strut and brakes I had to take an angle grinder to the rim as it had peeled around the back of the brake disc. By the way, he killed 2 of these... :banh:

So I was doing some work in Geelong and spotted this GK Scorpion parked outside a Mitsubishi Dealership. I spoke to the Spare Parts Manager inside and the story is:
The Spare Parts Manager's Dad, Max, was at one stage the Service Manager at Burwin Mitsubishi in Geelong. This car belonged from new to a good customer of Max who always kept it regularly maintained. The owner got to old to drive so gave the car to Max who looks after it just like the original owner. It was immaculate.
