Do the first shape Galants also use the same model designation as the GC/D shape?
A112V = Wagon
A112A = Sedan
A112H = Hardtop
A112 = 1600
A114 = 1850
And so on?

reviving an old thread, mate has just brought a gb galant which seems to be a import of some sort. Has A53 stamped on firewall behind head, no adr plate at all and no rivet holes.. has 16L badges and the different dash, and tail light facia... any ideas? also has 'colt' scuff plates

It's won't be a "GB" then .... it's a Colt Galant 16L ! :)

Never released here, but they were imported (both fully assembled & knocked down) in reasonable numbers into NZ in the 70s, so it most likely came from there originally and was subsequently imported 2nd hand into Australia.
