damn know about scorpion?

Cause i know the seats in my galant are either scorpion or sigma seats. Seen them in sigmas but were told they were scorpion seats so yeah i dunno.

Didn't really take a good look if the feet were some how modded to the rails.

I posted this on the old site but it didn't really go anywhere.

As above, seat rails them selves are different, although you'll find that the seats can be swapped around keeping the original rails in the car (you'll need to slightly slot one of ther holes per rail & its a perfect fit) - Know this for sure with the GC/GD galants & GE/GH sigma (makes sense really, same time period...)

Not sure about the scorps though.

Found something really weird the other week.
The GTO seat I bought in Japan came with seat rails, with out even thinking about it I chucked them in the GC and they bolted right in. A few weeks ago i tried a front seat in the GTO and they are a mile out.
Wonder if my seat had the rails changed in Japan or if there was a floor pan swap as my GTO is 1972 and the GC is 1975. My seats are from a 1975 GTO
So, do GA/B seat rails bolt into GC/D's??? If so it has me buggered, if not I would guess the GTO changed floors in 1973 to match the Galant change?

PS, Mining old threads, lol

Excuse the dodgy MS paint worthy diagrams but i have found GA/GB and GC/GD to be different. The GA/B ones bolt to an extrusion from either side (trans tunnel ect.) whereas the GC/D ones go to the floor where they are bolted in.

*diagrams may not be exact :P

So it looks like a little bit of artistic use of an arc/mig welder can make either set of rails fit either car :)

with a little bit of artistic use of a welder you can make anything fit :P also i have found GE-H sigma rails to be very close if your looking for an easy to find set of rails to modify to suit, the outer bolt hole seems to be off by about an inch, the rest all bolt in correctly

I brought seats with rails from a GTO to fit in my GD. Bolt spacing was all the same but the GTO was lower.
Got it in alright but kept catching when sliding seat back and forward so just put the rails from the GD onto the GTO seats and all good.
