Finally picked up the last 2 of the Galants I bought, and started pulling useful stuff off them today.
Somehow I don't think either of them are restorable .....
The GA sedan (old rally car) :
The GB wagon :
Not a single usable panel between them ...... although the wagon tailgate & rear bumper might be OK, if anyone wants them ?
Once I strip them of anything vaguely useful over the next few weeks they'll go to the tip ... so if anyone wants any odds & sods, let me know.
I think these are a bit past salvaging .....
Re: I think these are a bit past salvaging .....
i love that bumper! was the diff in the ga anything spetial?
My car: Colt/Galant AI standed. going AII GS speks!
Re: I think these are a bit past salvaging .....
Nope - just a stock GB wagon rear end (9" drums + 3.9 diff) ... unfortunately !!
If you reckon the front bumper is OTT, you should see the sumpguard ..... 1/8" steel plate all the way back to the rear crossmember. Must weigh more than the rest of the shell.

No use to me ..... I'll sell it if someone wants it.
It's a 1980s-vintage home-built 6-point ... haven't had a good look at it really. It's bolted to floor, dunno whether the rest is bolted or welded (haven't pulled the padding off)

yeah ... certainly wouldn't meet current CAMS specs. Would be OK for a khana car or something (or for "street wanker" purposes ! )
