I dont think any of the base models (eg 4 doors) came out with them...not too sure about the coupe's or GTO's....Kodos would prob be best to ask about the GTO's

Yeah, according to wiki.
the gto had the 2L
the 'standard' had the 1.8L
meanwhile, all service manuals I find have the 4g3 engine.

1976 the first model Sigma was introduced and was optioned with a 1600 (1.6) Saturn, 1850 Astron or 2000 (2.0) Astron. I don't think the Scorpion was ever fitted with anything other than the 2.0 and 2.6 Astron (Correct me if I am wrong)
Some of the very first Sigma's (all the 1600 I think) had a GALANT panel between the tail lights holding the number plate lights (Same part that the Astron GE's had SIGMA written)
Just for interest sakes I also think the 1600 Saturn Sigma had the same 4spd as a GD Galant too.

The Colt Galant sold in Japan and New Zealand was fitted with the Aston from 1972 in 2.0 GTO and 1850 L form. However these were an older style Astron and the Astron we know today with the "Silent Shaft" was fitted to the GTO's from 1974.
In 1971 the Galant FTO was introduced, this was a very different car to our Coupe or Japan and NZ's GTO. This car was fitted with a 1.4 Saturn.

Hope this is of some help.
