gd sedan taillights on a gc hardtop?

I'm trying to figure out if I can take the tailights off a gd 4 door galant and put them on my 76 colt galant hardtop. Which I think is a gc galant hard top.

Here are pics of the 76 I am buying and my old 74 which I'm pretty sure are the exact same.

These are the tails I am refering to. I want the whole setup center piece and all.

do a google search for the hardtop tail lights and try and get a look at the mounting, and check yours

gd tail lights are much shorter then gc tail lights...and they mount differently...it would be possible with a bit of fabrication...but i personally wouldnt do it

it just looks close from the pictures. I'll have to pull off the tail and snap some pics when I go pick it up.

when i go home i will take some photo's of both sets of tail lights for you...your gc tail lights are different to ours..but they seem the right size

i think gc were 73-75 and gd were 75-77

hm There were gd hard tops. I wonder if the state side ones are gd. with ugly taillights.

sorry...i know i said i would do this yesterday...but it was pissing down rain when i got home and didnt want to play in the mud

the gc tail lights measure 50.5 cms and the gd tail lights measure 44cms
