Replacement Radiators for a GC/GC?

Post by gunder »

Gday all, been a while since Ive been here, and now Im back with a rather weak question....

I need to replace the radiator in my gc... its a standard setup, saturn 1.6l motor... no mods... yet!
I just want to know what compatible radiators I can use with a mimimum of fuss. I had no joy on my searchs... (did find an old question I asked yonks ago tho... :))

While on the cooling system, if I needed to replace my waterpump, what could I find for that too?
:stupid:

... would be best to ring a radiator mob? and maybe a parts place for the pump or ebay?
are you after a bigger radiator? more detail in the question will get you more detail in the answer (for example you dont need a bigger radiator with a 4G32 stock or NA modified)

Hi,
i got a recored sigma radiator in mine. its just a matter of modifying the lower hose length to fit (from memory) bolts straight in otherwise. probably easier to come accross a sigma radiator too... hope this helps.

cheers

Thanx for the replys... I kinda figured it might be a case of getting a sigma radiator, but had to ask (2 b shore, 2 b shore...)!

Not upgrading at the moment, mines just craped out... holes and spitting coolant out the overflow when luke warm... just wanted to know whats compatible, and if I get a bigga sigma rad, least I wont have to trak one down later if I ever get around (and money) to engine swap, silver linings and all!

when you change to a sigma radiator you have to take out the spacer between the radiator and the front of the car and if you want to know what hoses to use this is a quote on what shuggy used
shuggy wrote:if anyone wants to know the hoses that match for a siggy radiator onto a 1.6 G32B belt drive engine into a galant here you go.

top hose is a 'bottom hose nissan 720 pick up 1980 onward'
aka CH1489

bottom is
'bottom hose ford maverick diesel, nissan patrol diesel 1988-90'
aka CH1489

fits perfectly with a tiny bit trimmed off the engine side of the top hose and some slight stretching of the bottom hose, you will need the longest possible fan belt so that your alternator sits low though or it wont fit

yes that means i fit the new radiator today (H)

I want to go down on you and make you really happy, then i want to come back up slowly and fuck you real good, yours sincerely Petrol prices.
