GC/GD Galant drawings, what do you think?

Post by 75wagon »

I was mucking around this last week with a drawing that I had, copied it and made a few changes.
I think Mitsubishi should have built some of these. Especially the 2 door wagon....

Ute. L160? Imagine how many of these they would have sold. Would have been good competition to the Datsun 1200 ute...

Hope you like my pics.....

Dave.

Can anyone else on here draw?
Would be good to see what others can do.
It may just inspire someone to do the real thing....

Thought I'd post these for anyone whose interested.
Outlines of the pics I've done, copy them or whatever and have a muck around. Repost them on here for everyone to see.
I draw mine on thin lineless paper. I put the outline underneath and trace. That way if you want to mod the pic you only add in what you want to be on it, eg if you want different size wheels or doors/ bonnet open etc....

Do whatever you want with them, I always draw pics of my car to work out what to do to it, colour/ wheels etc....

I wish they made the coupe wagon.
I'd have one for sure.
Would be hard to make a real one, the window glass from a coupe wouldn't meet up with the roof line. I also extended the rear side glass. But you can see the drawings aren't exactly accurate....

I was thinking about doing a woody...
I might even do some other cars. I've got one of an LB Lancer hatch, and some of colts (front drive ones)

Thanx, I went art school for a while, you think I'd do more with it than this though?

Did these tonight. I am trying different paint ideas for the coupe, I can't decide if black or red wheels will look better, lol

I think this looks a bit too "70's American" really
Image

Don't mind this idea, but I would change the Mitsu diamonds for the Galant symbol like on the 'C' pillars

OKAY, so this is my colour..........finally....................maybe. I will go with this I think.
Silver over white with the red stripe should look awesome I reckon.
P.S I pinched your idea and photo copied these two blanks once I was happy with them, lol

Interesting?
Where your red stripe goes over the rear arch, I wonder how it would look if it thickened up like the American GT models...
Image
Just though it might emphasize the 'Coke Bottle Stylin' more...

Yeah, I was hoping you wouldn't notice that, I have actually done a "test" panel on my car and my mate and wife said the exact same thing.
I think I am going to run a solid red outline like the GT's with broken/segmented centre like my pics

Nice one Tubby, I like it. The GE front would set it off perfectly and give it the 70's panalvan cred, lol

Thanks, you can add as much detail as you like. The trick is to have a nice large hi-res image to reference the detail from.
