g,day all..
i,m a new galant owner but not a new valiant man.the galant i have is a gd twin head light xl model optioned e12,d20,a57,r81 . it has a tacho a sports wheel cloth inserts the plastic from the factory is still on the back seat.i want to know how rare was it a limited edition whats the sakles history and what the codes mean.i know its a lot to ask for a newbie but i am a chrysler lover and i have owned sigmas too.

..... looks like a sports pack, dunno how "rare" that is , if you are going to fit sports seats and an anchortron it really doesnt matter , if your going to restore it to new stock it might be a good thing if thats what you want, modify it and you loose the "rareness"

It includes
tacho dash
cloth seat inserts
sports steering wheel
13 x 5 wheels with trims
pin striping
1977 GD GALANT station wagon owned since 1988

thanks i am going to keep it original and restore it to former glory.theres not much info out there on these little fun machines .so i appreciate youre input.

Its a factory rally pack.

There pretty rare. I went interstate for mine, mostly because its so rust free. I figure its a good spare shell if i ever need it and the rally pack thing is cool too.

awesome welcome to the site man. im more than willing to help out with info reguarding your gd. also if your in need of any parts give me a yell, i have a few mates with parts and a stack in my shed also.

btw i swear this was the vehicle i kept seeing and wanted to buy lol. its a sports pack gd and they are very rare these days.

i am hoping to keep it original as possible.it needs back bumper fr bumper.and lh indicator lense .they are not bad but slightly

front and rear bumpers are really hard to find for these cars, i have had plently of trouble finding half deent ones for my gd coupe and wagon. as for indicatro lenses there were a set of good ones on ebay recently going cheap.

Also whats with the chain going from the firewall to your oil cap?

i really need to say this "you bastard" :lol:

i tried to buy that galant every week from when i was 16 thru to about 24,
but the old guy that had it would never part with it, i think he had it from brand spankers :shock:

it got offered to me later on, but i was out of the galants at that stage and didnt buy it
i knew deep down i should have - cos i always knew i would be back :mrgreen:

where bouts are you? im in risdon vale, we should meet up and shoot the breeze
i will be offline for a while cos i still got no net, but shoot me a pm anyways and we will catch up sometime

the old fellows sister told him to sell it i just put a wanted valiant ad on ebay and she rang and said the old fellow will bring it down for me
i mostly collect valiants and charger but this one came up for a bit of fun really.we may sell in the future it depends if we get a good offer.
