32/36 or 34ADM???

Post by letmefknin »

Which is better?
Then what jetting should be used for a stock 2.6 with tuned length extractors and a lil cam?

34ADM for sure, as the 32/36 will most likely be off a 2L Escort/Capri and will prolly need jetting up to suit the larger capacity. Use the Mikuni/Solex secondary in the 34ADM and it should be jetted fine for the 2.6 motor.

Yeah go the 34ADM

Have had one running on the 2lt for a while, runs rather well, bitta this bitta that done to the engine as well.

Best idea is to grab an air/fuel gauge, then you can be constantly paranoid about the mix

Hmmm,
Currently running the 32/36 over jetted. Has bulk bottom end torque.
Guess I'll be trying the 34, just curious about the jetting.

There about the same in real world terms, just the 34 is about 15 years newer and has an electric choke which works realy well.

Ive used both.

Yea a massive two mil bigger on the primary and a MASSIVE 2 mil SMALLER on the secondaries.

Dosnt mean stuff all as its all still too small for a 2.6. :P

I have only JUST finished fitting a 34adm to my 2.6 astron 1 GH 5spd and i love it :P I wasn't expecting anything other then a nice induction sound haha But teh first thing i noticed above anything else was the throttle response. It just wants to revv and keep revving. Then as soon as the secondaries open up you get that throaty roar and *drooollll* :P

Its not going to win any races but it sure is fun to drive now. Definitely will keep me happy untill i can afford a TS Head/Efi upgrade ;)

Why do people think a 34ADM is bigger than a 32/36? They are the same total size of 34+2=68 and 32+36=68! If you jet them the same, the 32/36 should have better fuel economy with the primary port of 32 (versus the 34) but the same total. Or am I wrong?

:stupid:

My old 32/36 performed very well (although this was on my 1600... So this may be useless info :P )
