Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
Anyone know what size these wheels are?
I am thinking 17x8 +10 front and 17x9 +-0 rear, but that is a total shot in the dark, anyone know for sure?

Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
Ive got 15x8 +15's on mine, they clear but with it 2 inches lowered i had to re locate the rear shock mounts inward 10mm.
BUILT NOT BROUGHT BY ALGIE.
Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
As a guide the wheels in these photos are; Rear 15x7.5 -22 (205/50R15), Front 15x7.0 -6 (195/50R15). The front guards are from a GSR and hence are cut from factory, the rears arches are cut to be similar to factory and the flares are GSR factory as well . My guess is that the Top Secret GTO is using 19 inch with front being 19x8.0 0 and rear 19x9.0 -10.

1973 Mitsubishi Galant Colt GTO GS2000
"This project started in 2007 when in a fit of nostalgia I purchased this 1973 Mitsubishi Galant Colt GTO GS2000 off Trade Me. The car had spent most of its life in Wairarapa and the body was in excellent condition with no rust, however the paint work, upholstery and bright work was tired.
After we stripped the car down to a bare shell I discovered that although it was painted blue, the original colour was white, so I decided to return this GTO to its original colour.
Once we stripped it down, the body was soda blasted which took it back to bare metal. From there we started a complete restoration job. Most of the parts could be refurbished and restored, however we did manage to locate a few new parts and thanks to several people we were able to purchase a number of bits to finish the car. Now, 4 years later and after a lot of hard work by Rob and Bill, two of our "older technicians”, the car is now finished and on display at Bay City Mitsubishi, Tauranga."
The paint work was carried out by Bryce Fisher at Carcraft Bodyworks. The upholstery was restored by Ian Handley at First Ave Auto Trim.

COBWBS is back from out of the cobwebs?
I've always wondered what happened to this car.
I haven't seen or heard much since we transferred the site to the new layout a few years back.
Your build thread needs more updates....

I wasn't far off for a shot in the dark.shelbygto wrote:the wheels on the top secret gto could be

I am thinking some front 16x7 +15 and rear 16x9 +-0 for the hardtop. Not 100% sold on the RB's and I really would love some meshies but they are stupid expensive for second hand wheels and I like the idea of new shiney wheels
Most of the other Rota's are too modern, only come in 4x100, have shitty offsets or only go up to 15's And I hate 13's

Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
Do you live near Bendigo unique? Thats where my convertible is going tomorrow morning
Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
That Black thing must have ended up being the slowest thing there on the track that day. Does the guy have no idea how to drive of can't he help pushing the go pedal? Either way, it made it look like he can't drive to meunique10 wrote:ok not a picture but didnt want to start a new thread for 5 seconds of video footage. im right at the start somewhere...

Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
It doesn't look like he can't drive - he actually can't drive... The guy in the purple 'Cuda made it look easy and he was driving the same model. Trying to motorkana some of those massive tanks is hilarious. Chrysler Regal handles really well75wagon wrote:That Black thing must have ended up being the slowest thing there on the track that day. Judging by his arm-out-the window style, I'd say his motives for participation were a little different to the other guys there. That Black thing must have ended up being the slowest thing there on the track that day. Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
Jason, I'm about an hour away from bendigo but there's always some Chrysler or mopar stuff going on there so when im up there ill keep an eye out for ya.
The guy in the black cuda was just there to cook some stockies, he did however attempt to cook those tires whilst going through the cones so the officials didn't really mind.
I finished second that day out of 40 cars. Feel a little gay for loosing to a pt cruiser but ill just write it off as it was my first time. Lol.

Sad wagon
only place i could think of for a pic like this
Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
Mate, that's not sad, it's a badge of honour.
The fact that that wagon put up with all that obvious abuse, and still got them there, and in good enough spirits to do the thumbs up.
Galant Wagons, tough as Bro
