G'day y'all! I'm weighing the idea of converting my Galant back to auto again. I don't exactly like the idea, but I've run out of options. What I would like is to be able to convert it to a 4-speed auto. Something like out of an L300. Swing a 4g63 single cam (complete with carburettor) off the end of it. My main concern will be if it fits inside an auto trans tunnel. I'm not looking for increased horsepower, but am looking at ways to make it more cruiser than quick street car.
Or do you think I should give it a try, and then share the results here? I'm convinced that the hardest part will be fitting a Sigma shifter to the floor as I can't find a Galant shifter mechanism. I'm buying a whole L300 for the drivetrain as many bodybits will be used on my Delica. Cheers from Lurch!

A local bloke has converted a couple of T700 auto trans into Sigma's
They apparently work well.
Should be a good thing, and able to handle the power of a reasonably high powered Astron.
