GC75,
I've found the easiest way to do that is to disconnect it from the gearbox and feed it through the firewall.
Connect it on then SLOWLY feed it back out when you put the dash back in.
After you have the dash in, DON'T FORGET to RECONNECT it.

10min job at most.

Cheers.

What i mean are the tacho wires, they dont go to the gear box, unless your talking about the kilometer one or what not i dunno.

basically need to know which wire goes on which bolt as shown in pics.

Sorry GC75, I was talking about the Speedo cable.

Usually the Yellow/Green wire is earth, by default the other wire would be positive.

Cheers.

Old Dash:

swapped all the wires over from the old dash, as the newer one i have is different i believe, also changed tacho for the clock, it suits and is a good match. Although using the tacho now makes the old dash unusable as the clock now goes in the old one but doesnt screw in due to the clock knob conflicting as it hasnt got a hole to go through. More shit lying around that means

New Dash:

Ripped this baby out at pick a part in dapto, yellow gc for anyone that went. Original radio etc.. i like it for the look as i have my head deck in the glove box.

So i continued installation today, and may i add who ever made the speedometer cable is a fucking jackass. He must of been asain cus i was upside down legs over the seat forcing that prick on lol.. only to be pleased it was finally in to have no power on all lights, although the interior head light turns off when i turn the ignition. Think i need a new car battery or something.. as the interior light is pretty dim. Also dash doesnt some to work.. any ideas?

ill have another look sometime tomorrow or over the weekend and see what i havent plugged in properly or what i missed.
