Intake manifold upgrade on 4g32...

Post by sirweasle »

Hey guys,

am going to upgrade carby on my 4g32 in a GD sedan.

Whats your opinion on a DCOE Weber Manifold with the 40DCOE 151 carb? is it sort of a bolt on option?

Manifold http://www.weberperformance.com.au/prod ... cts_id=538

Thanks in Advance

Single sidedraught carbs are a PITA on a road car. They are really designed to have 1 barrel per cylinder, and the single carb manifolds rarely flow evenly.

You will be far better off with either a good set of genuine twin downdraughts, or bolt a single 32/36 DFEV Weber onto the existing manifold via an adapter plate (easy option, carbs are cheap & tunable, gives a useful power increase..
