How hard is it to fit windscreen on a gd galant.

I have done it. Used the rope method where you sit the windscreen and seal over the opening, and pull a piece of rope through the seal to pull it inside.
It took a couple of attempts trying it by myself and I kept failing, but once I had a helper that could hold some pressure on the screen from the outside whilst I worked on the seal from the inside it went in quite easily.
That was with a new rubber seal (from Phils Rotaries on ebay). I wouldn't even try and attempt it with an old hard seal.

I'll be getting new seal. Do you need to add any sealant to the seal?

I gave it a good clean as it had some white powdery stuff on it, but that was it. It seals fine with no leaks.
Apparently this only works with a brand new seal, and if you try and use it a second time it will need sealant.

I didn't use sealant on the re used rubber on the windscreen of my wagon.
It doesn't leak.
A properly seated rubber shouldn't need it IMO.
