Hi all, looking for a new distributor for my 1976 1850cc (4g51) colt, seems they are a hens tooth. mine is toast in every imaginable way, found one ex singapore for $995! does anyone know where i could track one down at a more reasonable price, or know of another that will fit in its place? its a vertical distributor, comes out by the timing cover, driven from the oil pump. cheers, Eric

Hate to say this, but I think you're gonna be looking for a while. We had an inquiry about the 1850 pre-balance shaft Astron and it appears that the whole engine is a pretty unique hunk of metal - http://www.sigma-galant.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=10774 It might be time to start looking for an engine upgrade
