Sigma V6 commodore conversion
Hey guys,
Just wondering who has done this conversion before, and if theres any chance any one has any pics of the engine mounts they used?
Or if they bought the proper pat gardener kit, if you could please post up some pics of the mounts they use.
Cheers
Geoff

Hahah, thats random, i actually went and looked at that car today and test drove it.
But still working on my GJ conversion as well and wanted to see some pics of the proper gardener mounts. Couldnt really get a good look when they were in the car

Re: Sigma V6 commodore conversion
when i did mine about 8 years ago
I used the factory sump 2 drivers side engine mounts and then cut the mitsu mounts off the x member the made some new mounts from 100x50x5 C section
cant remember what i did with the trans member but i remember i had to take some out off the floor to clear the trans pan

Re: Sigma V6 commodore conversion
got any pics yet mate?
ill be under going one of these conversions to one day (once my paint and panel is done )but ill be turboing mine so does the ecotec motor use the same mounts as the buick conversion coz apparently you can get a heap more power out of a ecotec motor.

Re: Sigma V6 commodore conversion
yeah mines still happening but on the back burner until i get my range rover sorted, so I've got a daily until its done which is almost complete (gearbox and transfer case have to come out and its still in sydney till Easter)
organized mods to front sub assembly to fit commo steering,hubs/brakes
got a complete commo diff (need to shorten). kit, engine, gearbox and wiring.
custom tail shaft and axles are about the only thing left on the list to get it drivable...
