Putting a 265 in a 78 Sigma Wagon

Post by GE265sigmawagon »

Anyone put a 265 into a sigma wagon before?
Are there any straight swap struts or heavy duty struts to buy online. To take the extra weight of the 265. Or could I use modified EL or AU falcon struts.

There was a gj sedan that had beautifully executed 265 conversion and I believe ran the std suspension setup (albeit stiffer Springs and shocks) BUT...it had a truckload of r 'n' d in it.....not to mention fab work and of course money

Ull be reaping better rewards with a more oddball conversion like a 3.5L Rover V8 or something like that

You don't need stronger stubs as they're the same diameter as commodore though you can fit springs and shocks from a centura

As for engine choice
If you already have a modified 265 then yeah it may be worth doing but if you need to buy/build an engine then theres better options like l67 supercharged V6, these engines are everywhere and they're cheap plus you can just buy a bolt in conversion kit
GH Sigma, 16" Mesh wheels, sports steering wheel and a V8 exhaust
