Sigma turbo drain with power steering

Post by Phantom »

Hi guys, how have people achieved fitting turbo drain/return lines to the sump when power steering is fitted?

From what I have read, the factory sump will foul. And the area looks quite busy.

Any suggestions or previous experiences?

This is the reason that I never fitted power steer to my wagon. Also the the plumbing from the factory sandwich plate for the turbo oil feed and engine oil cooler take up what little space there is.

only suggestion would be look at a rack & pinion conversion, if your super keen on power steering.

even then alot of work and many unknowns.

About 10 years ago I parted ways with a Starion that had a 2.6L turbo with efi. It was running factory Starion power steering. The previous owner did the conversion and ran the pump and reservoir higher up which I presume would have allowed all of the space issues to be cleared up.

Of the two GH's I have, I am trying to rebuild one into a turbo replica. I thought the power steering one would have been the better option.
