I'm in the middle of putting a T28 turbo on my Triton, I am using an OEM Sigma turbo manifold, I need to block off the external wastegate port. The manifold came with the wastegate passage that clamps on with a v-band, but not the actual actuator. The T28 has an internal wastegate which I'll be using for now anyway.
Is the v-band on the Sigma turbo manifold a standard v-band size? I have a 2.25" V-band flange here and it is pretty much the same, but the flange won't clamp down enough against the manifold, it's about 2 or 3mm short, and just rattles around loosely inside the v-band clamp. I will consider an external wastegate if I change the turbo down the track, is there anything available that fits straight on?
