Heater Core

I need to do something about my leaking heater core. I have called locally and have been told repair is about $200 or new for $240. On ebay I found some GJ/GK units for $145 but am unsure of compatibility with GN. My final option is to repair myself but I am unsure if this is a good idea given how much of a pain in the ass it is to remove if it plays up again.

I think secondhand is also a bad idea.

I would love some suggestions.

Where is it stuffed?
On one of the soldered joins, or somewhere else?

I'm yet to do a full inspection but if the gk one will fit that seems like a good option . eBay seller said no but I doubt they know any more that it says on the box.
