Help Wanted in Sydney

Post by Colin034 »

I need help with the wiring of the fuel injection on my new GH wagon
I pulled it back out of auto electrician after they quoted 4 days labour ( they didn't even look under the bonnet or inside the car to see how much I had done myself)
Wiring is completed and through the firewall sitting next to the computer.
I'm 68 and confused by computers but I don't have 4 days labour money to spare for a job that should take half a day.

Hi Colin034,

What suburb are you in?

What ECU are you using?

Have helped a mate wire up a 2.6L, astron powered LC Lancer. He was using a cut and shut TR magna manifold and the Magna ECU/Wiring loom.

Wasn't all that difficult, took us less than 1 day to do.

Cheers.

Hi superscan811
I am using exactly the same, have cut the loom down to only the wires we need (I think)
Have a lot of things in play, I'm old, eyes aren't good and what's a computer
We live in campbelltown
Any help would be great.

I take it you have a workshop manual for both he GH Wagon and the TR/TS Magna. They makes life a lot easier.

Also, is the Magna ECU from a manual or auto? The auto has an "inhibit" pin so you can only start it when the transmission is in park or neutral, The manual has it as well but it is jumpered in the loom from memory.

Where and how have you installed the EFI fuel pump and relay for it?

PM (Private Message) me your phone number so we can talk.

Cheers.

Now you can see why the auto elec wanted to cover his ass and hit you up for 4 days labour.

I have been working on my harness for the last couple of days. All I have is a wiring diagram off this site ...and a continuity tester. Oh ..and an auto ecu.

How is it running ???
