Devices that give more power and better fuel economy

Post by Sigmaproject »

Well this is a bit of a bummer  I was thinking of fitting a heap of gizzmo's to the wagon to get heaps more power and better fuel economy.

I figured that if I fit some magnets to the fuel line, a spark intencifier, a fuel catylist and a go faster body kit and a couple of other gadgets that I could crack the 200RWKW and get fuel consumption of around 5L/100Klm

But this bastard recons they are all a load of crap :o

You know what the best type of fuel economy is... abstinence

They proved years ago that those things were all placebo effects.
In the dumb corner
"Oh, I've put on a piece on plastic to my intake pipe, I'm now sure to get better mileage... I have a thought, to make it work better, I won't drive as fast, and will be more gentle with the go pedal"

In the intelligent corner
"I've just completed my recent service by replacing all spark plugs, leads, oil, filters, o2 sensor and had my exhaust system checked"........ wow, now that will definately get results!!!

the only device I know of that can increase performance AND fuel economy is a good set of tuned length extractors.

and you definitely won't buy them on EBAY for $20 ;)

A brick placed behind the accelerator pedal improves fuel economy, but performance is crap

we have been selling a fuel saver device that a mate imports for a few months now and testing the changes and found most cars are getting 5 to 15% better economy and inproved responce and better midrange power. they are supposed to be getting tested in street fords mag in the next couple of months so will be interesting to see what they say.

There are plenty of these sorts of things on ebay. If you could fit enough of them in series  you should crack 400RWKW no problems

:) .How true.
This isnt meant to be a brag but our family car is a manual V6 Camry sedan,(141kW and weighing in at 1390 kgs...0-100 in 9.1 s) which we had converted to gas in December (dual fuel). You can put 50 litres in the donut tank ...which DOESNT eat up boot space. We get 430 to 530 kms to the tank depending upon around town or to and from the inlaws down south.
Thats 9.4l per 100kms or roughly $4.70(at 50cents per litre) per 100kms.
Performance difference is negligible

If you're looking for both power & economy, check out some of the new common rail turbo diesel powered vehicles. Performance much the same as petrol, but uses only half the fuel. My company vehicle weighs nearly 2 tonne, 0-100km in 11 seconds, with 8L/100km economy. Also it easily tows a fully loaded car trailer at 110kmh in 6th gear, & still gets 10L/100km economy. :D

For those that take the quest for more power and better economy seriously ;) I would think that this would have to be a power junkies dream.

Just plugs into the cancer stick socket and get more power, better economy and lower emissions

I think there own wording really sums the product up the best...
This also prevents wasted electrical flow during times of pull

gee, what a surprise its American....

You never see the Japanese putting out ridiculous Gimmicks,
they actually build stuff that is economical, and performs!

Man I would love to see someone buy one on a whim just to see if anything does happen.
And then pull it apart to see inside.
perhaps it disconnects your Air Con, Any lights, and the Altenator so as to save on load?

You only get a couple of hours of driving before your battery dies, but you do get slightly better economy.... ;)

And Sigmare, dont go stirring up the old LPG Chestnut! lol
