GLue

Post by COBWBS »

Hey when i pulled the door rubbers from my GA they were held on with some real good glue.
This stuff was like trying to pull your mates off your little sister.

Im putting on new rubbers and need to get some glue that's just as strong?

Any1 got any idea's?

cerment glue or whatever it is called is usually the tough shit. You know when you touch it, it sets instantly basically to whatever it is applied to.

Ive used Contact Cement before for this (it used to be used for sticking down laminex and soles to shoes) - its good, but because some people inhale its vapours  Ive found it hard to track down recently. Dont buy the water based version of it - it takes too long to dry. And if you do find some be aware that as soon as the 2 surfaces come together they are stuck - no sliding to fit.
