The "Im bored at work" random pics from Shifta thread
Just realised I have an old Car Domain site with random stuff from back in the day so thought I'd share .
Wagz at Belair. This was on the same day as the Sigma Day that made it into Fast Fours mag.
Bloody Uni joints! Once the tailshaft was out, had my mate tow me home with a short rope in his 2.6T scorpion.
Back when we had a strip! Quickest I got out of the 1.8 was a 14.3. Everyone has excuses, but I swear to god late at night when the car was cool, it was at least a half second quicker!
My first ever Siggy Turbo. I sold this a mate's uncle who took it to Roxby Downs for a few years. A mate bought it, then sold it again. No idea where it is now.
I can't believe we wrecked this car . I bought this car for the diff as I wanted to put a disc brake rear end in the GE wagon. I now know I should have gone with a scorpion rear end - would have saved me so much time, money, and grief with broken axles!
Another drags shot - 2.6T Scorp in the foreground. This was actually the 4,6 and Rotor Nationals. I dialled in at 14.7 because of the heat, was miles in front over the line so jumped on the brakes and broke out anyway with a 14.6. I wish I'd kept it nailed and run a PB now!
Siggy day at Belair - great turn out!
Mitsi cruise at Willunga
My old wagons. The Gally ended up at the wreckers

Nice pix man.
I remember wrecking cars that I wish I would have kept now
Do you think you can get an SA cruise with that many attendees going again?

Just added a few extra comments to the first post .
Very doubtful about the numbers on a cruise these days but I could be wrong. You just don't see as many of the cars around anymore......

Found a couple more
Evidence of the tow home!
The bay of the scorpion. The motor ended up in a sigma of some description after the car was sold as far as I know.
A shot of the Scorp in practice at the Nationals. I got told off after taking this photo as I wasn't an "official" photographer!

How to devalue a Mitsy, add Nissan parts. Adding skyline lights is like putting a 350 Chev into a Ford. Its vandalism.Astron Boy wrote:That scorp looks awesome with the skyline lights.

Yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of the tail lights but the car was unique! It was a freak car too. I was smashin axles constantly in my wagon and the standard drivetrain on Chris's Scorp never failed. It also ran 15-20psi through the T04 with the standard CD175 setup with no water meth injection! On paper we somehow had similar times down the quarter ( low 14's ) but on the street it would wipe the floor with my wagz!
