Hi guys (and girls)

I'm just thinking start a new internet based car forum and i was hoping if I could get some assistance in terms of who to go for/with, costs, limitations etc etc etc if anyone can help me with this that would be great

(N.B. this isnt a threat to leave or take over anything like that.....was just wanting to start my own forum)

Facebook has really hurt forums all kinds.
I would have a good think about using something like FB for your platform base. It's really easy for people to access on their phones (which is what so many use now) and it's free. It's also really easy to control who is and who isn't on there.

Just a thought for you.

Yeah, Like already mentioned facebook has killed many forums.
In so many way's facebook is better BUT the info isn't searchable and in any order other than chronological...

One of the forums I'm a moderator for now has next to no traffic other than people updating build threads monthly and searches...

All the new info people are smashing on facebook, is pushed down by each and every post...

ie: Someone works out something cool and shares it, then the next person post's a pic of their car at a servo!!

I can do some digging if you want though??
