Parcel Shelf speakers

So ive got atm 2 6x9 speakers on my parcel shelf up the back of my gaylant they have been there several months and ive noticed the tweeter has melted on them

So i was wondering what i can do to stop that from happening as i have bought 4 new ones that are quite expensive and i dont want the same thing happening

Best method is to stop the sun getting to them at all.

hahaha Ive never been a fan hey idk just dont like them(i think cause the VL commodore wankers)

Nah, but I would think using the covers they came with should help?

The last one had covers lucky they were cheap hahah

Has anyone ever made a like a custom inclosure like the commodore(later model vy-vz)

You can get spacers that change the angle the units sit at and raise the units. Mate of mine has a couple in his car. He loves them cause all he has to do to the parcel shelf is drill a couple holes. no cutting the shelf.

Any cover over the speakers is a good thing (even if it's just the standard mesh or plastic one that comes with the speakers), and if you're not a venetians fan (which I'm not, to be honest!), I find that a rear window louvre, such as I have (sadly no pics on me at the moment, but I'll take one tonight and post it later :) ), does the job well, and looks pretty sweet too. Keeps the glare from your rear view mirror too.
