Injector thief

Post by lance »

Who takes all the injectors out of all the efi Magnas ?? When l do the walk down the line of Mitsubishis at pick a part , every 2,6 magna has its injectors missing.
They are usually the only things that go .

I think they are actually bigger then standard commodore, I've heard they are the same as HSV's so a cheap upgrade over the standard ones.

Yep, Commodore V8 owners take them. The HSV V8s uses the same Bosch 0-280-150-775 injectors as the TR/TS Magnas. They use them as a cheap upgrade to their cars.

I needed some for my car and to be honest, it was cheaper to buy new instead of running around every wrecker looking for them

True. But don't really need any . Just stumbled upon them missing and its been bugging me as to were they go .
I wouldn't mind maybe some for spares .
Try to get down to pick a part at least every second week . Go in without tools so if l really wont something l have to go and get my tools .
(That's cool off time )The best thing so far is a 5 speed triton gear box from a 2002 mod 2wd V6 .

This will answer also your question in Technical Questions
The gearbox has been sold on .
Didn't cost that much about $250 .I was in the rite place at the rite time.
The idea was to think over weather to buy a GH sigma SE as a project and fit a V6.
I feel it would have been an easy project once l had the missing link ( the box ).
The box is very bulky and long , it would have been a smug fit or maybe a bit of massaging to fit.
The only other thing that concerned me was the height of the V6 engine with the triton EFI manifold .
l feel to make it fit it would have to use the inlet manifold from TE = TH Magna
I am 80% shore the v6 would have fitted on the x member .

Hope this helps
