low profile tyres on sigma turbo rims?
as the topic states i'm in the process of getting some sigma turbo rims
and was thinking about getting some low profile rubber for them.
just wondering what size rubber guys are running etc
currently i think from memory i am running a 195/50 on the pepperpots
and was thinking of changing the profile down to a 40 or even less if possible....

I don't think you can get 40-profile 15's in Australia

Re: low profile tyres on sigma turbo rims?
no worries, just thought i would ask.
will ask at the tyre place down the road and see what i can get,
doesnt matter about speedo ratio's as mine is electronically adjustable anyway
just looking for a nice stance...

Yokohama S Drive are available in 195/45, that's the only tyre I can find under 50 series.
Very sweet tyre though

Don't go for bicycle tyre profile - looks strange, and must ride pretty hard too. (IMO)

I am with CamB
I dont even like the 195/55 I have on the front
The 195/60's I have on the back look heaps better, and suit the rim and overall period look.

Re: low profile tyres on sigma turbo rims?
I have 195/50's all round at the moment and yeah, I reckon the ride is harsher than it should be. My old siggy had 60 profile and seemed all good.
Re: low profile tyres on sigma turbo rims?
I used to have Yokies - 205/60/15 all 'round and they looked awesome. Just fitted on the front - oodles of room on the back. Steering was noticeably heavier at parking speeds though.
