Nice EFI turbo Astron set up. Must be hard keeping power to the ground! I'd be keen to know if the front wishbones and hub assemblies are compatible from later Tritons, it would be nice to have vented discs up front (maybe a quicker steering box too)

Nice! :D

You can get an l300 van, and swap over the hubs on your ute :) gives you vented discs, and a 5 stud conversion! 5x114.3

Then it would force my hand to change the rear to a 5 stud configuration. At the end of the day this will still be my work mule - the added expense of a diff swap isn't justified. I'll have to do a field trip to UPI and take a tape measure to see how a Triton 2WD front end compares to the L200 set up (and while I'm there get a drivers' side radius rod as mine is bent like a banana...)

I'm guessing it would be relatively easy to convert the diff to a five stud pattern (Ford would be easier as they are the same PCD).....then the ratio can be changed or left accordingly to ur needs (generally they are either 3:23 or more than likely 3:45 ratio)

Get onto yahoo Japan auctions through a company called import monster.
I've found heaps of awesome Japanese sport wheels in 6 stud. Just haven't had the cash to buy any yet!

Those of us who are inclined in all things Mitsubishi and are into their L200/Triton/D-50/MightyMax/Ram, I'd recommend checking out this US based site http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin/forum.php There are a few members on S-G that are also members on MightyRam50 (myself included)

Hey guys, I've got an 85 L200 4X4, would it make sense for me to go down the turbo route, or would I be better off upgrading the carby or just going EFI considering I take it off road?

At the moment it's got a G63B from an L300 I guess and it struggles at 80kmph and the carby seems pretty routed :( ....

Check the secondary vac actuator can on the back of the carby. If it doesn't hold vacuum then it's an easy fix - just swap it for a good one.
