ok so rang around looking for a rwd narrow flywheel, with no luck :( so decided to go to the local wreckers to check what they had, looked in the Mitsubishi section and found nothing that looked similar with the 6 bolt pattern, so i had a look at other sections and came accross one that look identic...

also i didnt use the 4g32 flywheel like i thought its only 5 bolt not 6

Have you been able to track down a flywheel yet? One thing to keep in mind is that the RWD '63 flywheels have a bearing in the center for the input shaft in the gearbox where as the FWD doesn't. It just has a hole that is pretty much the exact same size as the input shaft on the standard galant gea...

ok update time, the red galant getting the conversion done on it has had the microtech 90% wired in, water piping just about there, but on a bad note i have tried to crank the engine to see how its going and the starter motor doesnt make contact with the flywheel(doesnt engage) i tried all 3 starter...

i would have thought the reason they go for ever is the lack of power, obviously a good engine to start with but they dont make alot of power for the size of the engine, saying that they sound cool and rev pretty hard, definitely a fun cheap engine to have in a small car, the solex carbies were pret...

picked up the beast today. Very happy with it, very strong quiet and smooth engine, brakes need a bit of work, all the electrics work apart from the stereo, interior is immaculate, ill chuck a heap of pics up soon, has the original owners service manual in it, i think im the third owner and the guy ...

my dumpy i made this week, come up pretty good for a first attempt
trial fit, very close to the clutch cable, will have to make heat shield and try to get the clutch cable as far away from it as possible

I was worried about the head not bleeding out the air trapped in it...water will flow down under manifold to rad...but not the air...so i put small air bleed hose from head outlet to rad (or thermo at rad in my case).. thanks for pointing that out wouldnt have though about that other wise, what if ...

ok so flip flop manifold adaptor worked well and cost me 30 bucks to make, next thing im goin to work on is the water plumbing

it should be fine as long as you have someone that can tune it, i had a microtech in my silvia with an rb20det years ago and it came with a basic tune for that engine but i had some small mods done to it as well, there was no one to tune it where i lived so had to drive it to brizzy while it was run...
