GK Crossmember no go for GB

Hey guys, I managed to pick up a whole heap of gk gear when i bought the astron, I couldnt find any posts regarding the fitting of crossmember and struts, so i thought i would give it a go. Found that the crossmember is too wide to fit so no bolt in there. Therefore the struts won't fit without alot...

Had a water leak in the head gasket so we redid that...only to end up with a major oil leak at the back of the engine. So trawling the FS section i found some one selling a heap of gear out of a gk. Picked up a 2...

Hey Guys, i Just installed a holley 180 in my 1600 saturn but is running quite bad. Seems to be bogging down alot when accelerating and running quite erratically. i found a thread in another forum saying that the Holley 180 doesnt run too well with over 3.2 psi fuel pressure and the manual says that...

GB Engine Swap Under 1600cc

Next year i am looking at racing my GB Galant in A class which is 1600 and under (Non Turbo). I was wondering if there were any engine swaps i could do for a later model 1600 engine that wouldn't be to difficult or need engineering? Or would i be better sticking with the 4g32 and upgrading that? Che...

Re: gday to all!

Finally got to brissy last week. The galant arrives on Thursday then hopefully we will do a bit of an overhaul on the engine in the next few weeks.

Was wondering two things, What do people recommend we should replace ie, Gaskets, Seals, studs etc and what brands/suppliers would you recommend?

Re: gday to all!

The plan is to get her to a standard that i can do track days and sprints. First up though we need to do the head gasket as i am pretty sure it is blown at the back. was thinking about doing a valve regrind while i was at it. Discovered that it actually has a 4G32 in it so i want to run with that an...

Re: 4g32 differences

Thanks for the info guys.
So i'm guessing the only real way i will be able to tell what model the engine is from is by checking what kind of cam it has?
pretty sure there is no pollution gear on it but can't be sure because i'n not that familiar with it.

Cheers Dan
